The 2009 Spring Ralley Is On!

RE: Bike Week -- NOT CANCELED **** Please Repost
Body: ----------------- Bulletin Message -----------------
From: Sunnys Angel

Contrary to what you have heard or seen in the media - BIKE WEEK IS NOT CANCELLED - the rally dates are May 7 - 18, 2009.

While the city of Myrtle Beach has passed new ordinances to discourage bikers - they can by no means "cancel" the rally.

We welcome and encourage all bikers to come to the rally. We simply ask that you avoid the city of Myrtle Beach proper (we will have maps showing how to avoid the city) and don't spend a dime in their community.

When you are making plans - please book hotels and accomodations that are NOT in Myrtle Beach - look to Garden City, Murrells Inlet, North Myrtle Beach - all of which are their own enitites and have nothing to do with the actions of the Myrtle Beach city council!
We are seriously disappointed with their actions and shortsightedness.

Us as well as many other businesses in the community support and will always support the biker community - please come and show your support as well - just aviod MB like the plague!
So - with that said - it looks like the place to be for this spring rally is the south end of the beach!

Never been there biking, just thru there when i was 14.

Live up on the outerbanks and usually go BC Horse type events like smoke out
etc.

Anyything worth doing there beside avoiding traffic? Good bands or shows?
